Default Do you think there are to many Guilds in GW?

Do you think there are to many Guilds in Guild Wars.I keep seeing in pre whenI go back there to see what is happening and some are still setting up Guilds instead of joining others.guild Wars is over saturated with Guilds some not even funtioning or do very little.I only have few active members in my Guild as I have been appointed by the founder.I can never get any new recruits for my Guild.what would be some of your suggestions for this?I would entertain the thought on mergeing sometime but would like a new cape and make me an officer and take on my guildies.

I just want to know what you thought oh I would prefer a beta test guild as we are one.

haha...ha.lol, hahaha
sorry, just thought it was funny, *snicker

in all seriousness though, I don't think their are to many guilds, I don't think the idea of having to many guilds even makes since, seeing as how people join guilds based on interests, and even if people have the same interests, they may not get along and will want a different guild...I like lots of guilds, so that you won't always fight the same guild over and over in pvp, anyway
If your interested in a casual laidback guild, I'm the leader of mine, we have 8 or so active members (actually all members we do pvp, pve, and just hang out at the Guild Hall and talk, if your interested IGN Reiden Argrock, or you can see avatar for alt chars, You may not be given officer status right away, but I can guaruntee you'll have fun and all your guild mates would be welcome as well.

I do think there is way to many guilds. People that buy the game and play for 2 hrs and get 200 gold make one, and then bring in other people to it. It sould be harder to make a guild, not just 200 gold. I see way to many times, how do i make a cape, what is a guild hall from leaders of guilds.

Yea u need to go around and look for a guild that suites you. The guild i joined is an established guild from like 97 in many other games. We are small in GW but the members are great, and i have a good time.

Just need to find your own crowd.

So many people in pre searing, going, "HOW DO I MAKE A GUILD" and they just started, and have absolutly no direction in the game. Next thing you know, they're all like "HOW DO I GET A CAPE?" And when you tell them its 2k in post searing, the have to ask where post searing is. How annoying... Why he heck are they even allowed to make a guild?

Eh, I made my guild only after I ascended 3x. And as long as I offer PvP and GvG, its all good, and I have no trouble finding people to join.

I'm guessing that the ratio of new people joining GW and the ratio of new guilds being made has probably stayed about the same from the first moment taht GW came out to now. There are leaders and followers; some people are really, really, really bad at being followers (like me). So, naturaly, we make our own guilds.

As for amount of Members in a guild, I think that's the fault of the people who don't want to join or form a guild unless it has a spotless record, their image of a perfect hall, cape, and name, and will give them the privilage of being a captain the instant they join. People should stop being picky and go with people they like...

Well, there are people out there. They want to join a guild and just want to become officers right away. Its tough being a leader ya know? Most of the time, they're more like, "Do it my way or I won't stay in this guild anymore" They'll blackmail you to the fullest.. =/

guild wars is all about the ease of making a guild and developing one...hence GUILD WARS..doesnt matter if there are too many, it just makes way for the good ones anyways

People don't want to be left out. If they can't join a guild right away, they will often just make one to look like they belong to something. Our guild, Team HAF, has been playing other games for years (although I just joined for counter strike source back in march). We have a good size guild and our leader makes sure your active. If officers are off for more then a week they lose officer status, although it can be negotiated back, and if your off for a month you'll be kicked out and issued an invite for when you return.

Guilds are a good idea, and besides the newbie questions, which you will always get, are they really bothering anybody?

I dont neccesarily see how there can be too many guilds, but I know there is at least 7000. I have owned a guild ranked that low. (can u say solo w/ henches and leave first time you die?)
